1921 Shows up 1/21 in Ellis Island aboard the Red Star Line's Zeeland from Antwerp. His ticket was paid for by his uncle J. Bierschein of 1718 Devon in Chgo whom he was off to see. His contact back home was mother M. Schleich of Bauschleiden. He is born in the same town (aka Boulaide), speaking German, a 21 year-old coach builder.
1951 On June 14th passes through customs at New York with wife Mary. Reports home as 2114 W. 63rd St. He was traveling aboard the S.S. Libertie from LeHarve, France.

Marie Mueller was born 1, 2 on 17 Jan 1897 in Echternach, Luxembourg. She died 3 in Jul 1972 in Antioch, Lake Co., IL. She married Christian Schleich.

"She managed to keep her big house at 1976 W. Devon Avenue in Rogers Park, Chicago, by means of tenants' rents and from the income from her greenhouses, which she did end up losing during that period, by being one day late with the mortgage payment on account of a blizzard."
