According to Anerud, she was a member of a very important family in Dalarna. Here are his words: Svinhuvfud is an old frälse -family. Frälse is some kind of nobility. They have got a letter from the crown that they did not have to pay tax on their land and they could carry a coat of arm they should be able to contribute with a soldier on horse fully armed. There were two kind of Frälse. The highest Frälse were knighted by being dubbed by sword the common Frälse has not been dubbed.
In the 16th century the system of Frälse was more formalize into adel ( nobility )with counts , barons and common nobility and they were knighted by the king not necessarily by sword. Not all old Frälse families were knighted in the new system.
Svinhuvfud means boar head. Perhaps not so nice name to carry as surname today. In their coat of arm they had a head of a wild boar. Two different noble families exist today. Svinhufvud af Västergötland in Sweden and in Finland Swinhuvfud af Qvalstad."
